The Patriarchal Foundation for Patristic Studies was founded in 1965 and is housed in the historical Holy Monastery of Vlatades, a Byzantine monument dating from the 14th century. The Foundation's library today comprises over 50,000 titles as well as a collection of 1,500 early printed books.
