The Public Library of Milies is historically tied to the famous School of Milies, inaugurated in 1815, which is linked with major scholars of the era. Today, the library holds some 13,000 contemporary volumes, as well as a historical collection of 116 manuscripts, 1,000 loose documents and other archival materials pertaining to the Milies School, as well as 3,355 early printed books.
